Our Children's Future

I just had a customer call about their overweight child and she was unsure what she could do. In 2010, more than one third of children and adolescents were overweight or obese. (see obesity facts in children) We can help! 
 
We want to introduce our children to good foods early in life.  I am talking when they are babies, introduce veggies first, then meats and then fruits!  Fruits are sweet and if they are introduced first they will always want this and will not take to the veggie and meat tastes.  When your baby can eat a variety of food start with the most bland and work your way up to the sweet in a sitting.
 
What can you do with children that are picky eaters that are overweight and like sugar?  
  • Whey Core Active Protein, our chocolate is sweet and is very much like a chocolate milk, you can introduce it as "Chocolate Milk" they do not need to know it is good for them. Most of the picky eaters just are not getting enough nutrients and so there body is hanging on and storing the fat.  If we can get more of the right nutrients you will see a change in there metabolism and they can lose the weight. Whey Core Active is low in sugar and has 20g of protein per scoop.  I recommend a 1/2 scoop for those ages 3-6 and full scoop for those age 7 and up. The kids can come sample this at the store and see if it is something they like. 
  • Lean Core, is an all natural supplement that helps pull the stored fat into the blood system. It targets that stored fat and helps you use it for energy! It is good for your child's cholesterol and has your omegas that helps with brain function!  Your child must be able to swallow pills.
  • Quest Bars, These bars are amazing and the chocolate can be warmed and taste great.  These are great for snacks or meals. Gluten free, sugar alcohol free and tons of fiber with these little jewels!
  • Hide good food in the sweet food, there are many recipes out there that have something good in something sweet.  Like cauliflower in brownies no one ever knows that cauliflower is in it! Here is a link to one of those sites. 
The worst thing you can do is curve this child's appetite, where she/he will not want to eat. 
We want our children eating, just the healthy option.  We do not want to put our kids on a "diet" or any burner that could harm them, stay away from burners and "diets" in general.  If you need help with a child feel free to call, I am available to help you or to talk to your child direct to get them on the path of healthy living!
