Soy is it harmful?

Soy is it harmful?

As most of you know we really watch our products and bring in the best of the best. Some are asking why we do not carry Visalus, Advocare or Herbal life there is a simple answer, Soy.  There are many studies on Soy and many of our customers letting us know of their battle with soy.  Soy is actually harmful if you get to much.  Taking a protein drink with it's first ingredient as soy can build up in your system and cause side effects.  Soy is known to cause estrogen in men which can lead to Gynecomastia.  In women soy can tamper with our thyroid and our hormones causing us to be tired. One customer actually said he got very depressed and once he was off of soy, he noticed the depression leave.  Soy can also promote kidney stones, weaken the immune system and can contribute to food allergies and digestive intolerance. Did you know that drinking only two glasses of soy milk daily for one month has enough of the chemical to alter a woman's menstrual cycle.  Soy is not something you want to mess around with especially if you want to gain muscle!  You will never find soy products in our shop we continue to do research and know what is the best for our customers.  You can trust our products to help you reach your goal!

  1. Soy can be a problem with some grocery store products however this is not entirely true. Pure Soy is not bad for you. It is the Isoflavins in some soy that creates issues with Estrogen and other issues which really is more of a fitness myth than truth. I do know Visalus uses an Isoflavin free soy combined with Whey in their protein mix. I have gained 5lbs of muscle in 5 weeks using Visalus and I am not a hardcore work out buff in the gym. Please provide me with research if I am being negligent.

  2. The only way to be able to pull out the isoflavins from the soy bean is to have it genetically altered at the bean's DNA before planting. Pure Soy, as you say has isoflavins in its DNA. There are no studies or research showing that you can pull out the isoflavins. There is one farmer that is adding omega 3 to the bean, his name is Mansato and he had many problems getting this approved and had to go to court. The bean had to be renamed and released to the public June of this year. They made him rename the bean due to the fact that is was being genetically altered. All soy is harmful in big amounts, especially when taking a protein that is soy based and using several scoops a day/week. Did you click on the link above and read more about soy. Just imagine what you could do if you took a healthier protein meant for gaining muscle like an Isolate/concentrate mix. We at Purebody Nutrition make sure the products we bring in are the right ones, with the right ingredients or it does not make our shelves.
