How To Make Apple Cinnamon Whey Protein Bars


Ingredients:
Dry:

1 & 1/2 cups of oatmeal - grind it down to powder (should be about 1 cup once it is done)
Cinnamon and Splenda (or other no calorie sweetener) to taste *I used 2/3 cup Splenda
Wet:
1 & 1/3 cups of natural, unsweetened apple sauce
2/3 cup of almond (or soy) milk
1/3 cup of egg whites

Directions
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl
Slowly add wet ingredients until all is combined and you have a nice cake-like batter
Coat a cake or bread pan with cooking spray or cover with tin foil
Pour batter and bake @ 275 until the center is cooked to the desired firmness

*Because the only eggs in this batter are egg whites you don’t have to worry about undercooking and getting sick (only egg yolks bring a fear of Salmonella poisoning) if you want your bars more chewy don’t cook for very long.

Depending also on the size of your pan the bars will be thinker or thinner. Mine took about 20 minutes but just keep an eye on them
